Chemistry Tutoring

Online Tuition

I offer one-to-one Chemistry tutoring for GCSE and A-level Chemistry. I am comfortable with any UK specification (including i-GCSE and i-A-level).

If you are happy to be tutored online then it doesn't matter where you live as long as you speak English!  The experience is very similar to face-to-face tutorials. I use Google Meet for video calls and Google Classroom to share resources, summarise our lessons and message students. I use a shared whiteboard that both teacher and student can see and add to, a copy of which can be saved at the end of the lesson. Alternatively students can write on paper if they prefer.  I can provide work to be completed between tutorials if desired.

I make sure a parent/guardian is added to the Google Classroom so they are kept informed of progress and for transparency. If email correspondence is required between tutorials, a parent/guardian will always be included or all correspondence can go through the parent/guardian if preferred.

My priorities are to help students gain confidence and help them to find Chemistry easier to understand, remember and apply. I will not guarantee a particular grade because I think that is misleading, but given enough time and encouragement a student's performance is likely to improve.

Prices per hour are competitive and will be supplied on request.

Face to Face Tuition

I offer face to face Chemistry tutoring for GCSE and A-level Chemistry.

I live in Dursley so I can only offer face-to face tuition in the local area, this includes: Stroud, Gloucester, Thornbury, Wotton-Under-Edge, Uley, Berkeley, North Nibley, Coaley etc.

I prefer students to come to me but for a small surcharge to cover travel costs, I can travel within 30 minutes of Dursley.

Just like with my online lessons, I will summarise the tutorial and share all resources via google classroom, and use this and/or email to contact between lessons if required. I make sure a parent/guardian is added to the Google Classroom so they are kept informed of progress and for transparency.  A parent/guardian will always be included in all emails or emails can go through the parent/guardian only if preferred.
